Why can’t I see insights on Instagram?
If you manage an Instagram account, you may have noticed that you can’t see any insights on the platform. This is because Instagram has removed the ability to see insights for personal accounts.
Previously, you could see insights for posts, including how many times they were seen, how many people clicked through to the website or profile linked in the post, and how many people installed the app after seeing the post. You could also see insights for stories, including how many people saw them, how many times they were watched, and how many people clicked through to the website or profile linked in the story.
However, Instagram removed the ability to see insights for personal accounts in March 2018. Business accounts are still able to see insights, but they are limited to the first three posts and the first 10 stories.
There are a few possible reasons for why Instagram removed the ability to see insights for personal accounts. One possibility is that Instagram is trying to make it more difficult for people to track the performance of their competitors. Another possibility is that Instagram is trying to make it more difficult for people to track the performance of their own accounts, so that they are more likely to upgrade to a business account.
If you want to be able to track the performance of your Instagram account, you will need to upgrade to a business account. This will give you access to insights for all of your posts and stories.
Did Instagram get rid of Insights?
In February 2018, some users of the Instagram social media platform began reporting that they could no longer see insights data for their posts. This data includes information on how many people have seen a post, how long it has been viewed, and how many people have clicked on it.
At first, it was not clear whether this change was intentional or not. Some users speculated that Instagram may have gotten rid of the insights feature because it was being used to track the performance of posts in relation to the number of Likes they received.
However, Instagram later clarified that the feature had been removed by accident and that it was working on bringing it back. The company said in a statement:
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience and we’re working to bring back this functionality as soon as possible.”
The return of the insights feature was later confirmed by Instagram in a tweet.
Despite the return of the feature, some users are still reporting that they cannot see insights data for their posts. It is not clear at this time what is causing the problem or whether it will be fixed.
